The timer function may be activated when the units display is in any function or speed.
This function allows you to set the length of time the unit will run before turning itself off, from 1 hour to 8 hours (depending on model this can change). Pressing the Timer Button will increase the length of time by 1 hour each time this button is pressed. After the display reflects 8 (or 7, depending on model) hours, pressing the Timer Button once more will reset the unit to run continuously and turns off the timer function. The unit will turn off when the set time has elapsed. The unit can be turned back on by pressing the Power Button. The timer button image resembles a clock showing 3 o'clock.
When using the timer, the heater will continue to run on whatever setting has been selected for the duration of the set time. Once that time had elapsed, the heater will shut off completely. In other words, if you set the heater to maintain the temperature of 70 degrees and set the timer to 4-hours, the heater will run and maintain 70 degrees until 4-hours are up. At that time, the heater will shut off completely.
