VP-33 Recall: What is being done to resolve the reason for the recall?
The units being recalled were made by a supplier that Intertex/B-Air no longer uses, and the supplier since January 2018 uses a different capacitor design that is not susceptible to overheating.

The GFI outlet on these affected models was only for the fan itself. The unit is still subject to the recall given there is no resettable circuit breaker for the convenience outlets.
