How does the Nighttime feature work?

Di you buy a fan and are looking to better understand how the Nighttime mode works? In order to activate the Nighttime mode, simply press the Nighttime Button on the unit once to turn function on. The lights on the Fan will dim 50%. Fan will run on High (3) for one hour, change to Medium (2) for one hour, then finally switch to Low (1) until you interact with Fan by changing the features, turning the unit off or on or pressing any button on the unit or remote. The Nighttime feature does not work
with any other function, except Oscillation. Press any other button to cancel Nighttime feature.

The intent of the Nighttime model is to reduce the light being omitted by the unit by 50% all the while incrementally decreasing the speed, and electrical consumption of the fan.
