Why does my refill light stay on even though there's water in the tank? Top fill Guardian humidifier

There are a few things to check that would cause the empty light to go on:

• Please remove the mist tube and rinse with warm water. After you rinse it with warm water, dry it and then push the float mechanism on the underside of the mist tube. The spring it engages should move easily. Check around the mist tube making sure the rubber gasket is securely in place.

• On the mist tube there is a large white platform that moves up and down. This is the float, make sure it moves easily up and down and is not sticking.

• Reassemble the mist tube (making sure that the arrows align), then pour room temperature water in the tank and let run for 30-40 minutes. Please make sure the humidifier is on a flat level surface, no carpeting or towel underneath.
